About Kinsey

Design has always been part of my life. Some of my earliest memories are touring new builds with my mom and grandmother, driving through neighborhoods simply to admire beautiful homes, and wandering Round Top long before I understood why those spaces pulled me in. I was always paying attention — not just to how homes looked, but to how they felt and how people lived within them.

Although I began my career in education, that experience deeply shaped the way I design today. As a teacher, I learned how thoughtful planning, clear systems, and intentional flow create calm. A classroom only works when it’s designed for real, everyday life — and I bring that same mindset into every space I plan and visualize.

Everything changed when I built my own home in 2017. What should have been an exciting process quickly became overwhelming. I had inspiration images and drawings, but I couldn’t clearly see how everything would come together in my actual floor plan. The uncertainty wasn’t about style — it was about making significant decisions without confidence. Out of that experience, I taught myself rendering software, and for the first time, I could truly see how scale, light, proportion, and flow worked together. Just as importantly, I could identify what didn’t work before it became an expensive mistake.

Today, I specialize in creating thoughtful space plans and renderings that help clients clearly visualize their design, make confident decisions, and move forward with a solid plan everyone can understand. My work focuses on function, flow, and clear communication — providing drawings and visuals that support both homeowners and builders before construction begins. I’ve worked on residential and commercial projects ranging from small remodels to full homes, and my experience on the construction side allows me to bridge the gap between vision and execution.

Above all, I believe design should feel calm. Remodels and builds are emotionally and financially significant, and my goal is to replace fear with clarity through intentional planning and visualization. I’m especially drawn to clients who enjoy design, want to make their own selections, and simply need a clear foundation to get started. When the plan is clear, anxiety fades — and excitement takes its place.

At its best, design creates space for connection. A well-designed home supports the way people actually live, gather, and make memories — and being part of that process is what makes this work so meaningful to me.
